We remember playing with our Barbies for hours; acting out scenarios, pretending we lived as charmed a life as she did, with our own special dream house and pink convertible. Well, we were more excited than we care to admit when we heard about the introduction of special limited edition Stila cosmetics in honour of Barbie’s 50th, available exclusively on sephora.com.

Even if you don’t have Barbie’s blue eyes, blonde hair or pink lips, you can still look like her (or at least attempt to look like her). The original 1959 Ponytail Doll set comes with three eyeshadows, a lip colour to match Barbie’s in matte cherry red, and liquid eye liner to recreate the famous cat eyes of the ’50s and ’60s. Another set is named after the famous 1971 Malibu Barbie, which contains aqua eyeshadow, pink lip glaze and waterproof mascara to complete that sunny, beach look which epitomized the natural beauty of the 1970s. Packaged in a fun paint-can container, each set also features a “Barbie Look Book,” which includes a history of each top-selling Barbie. The $40 price tag is a small price to pay for a solid dose of nostaligia.

We also love the Barbie blog, which celebrates “50 years of fun, fashion and friends.” The site even features a cute video that details just how much work goes into making the Barbie dream a reality.
